An American actress, singer, and author, Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor was born July 12, 1951, in Huron, South Dakota. Her first role was the singing voice of Melody on Josie and the Pussycat, followed by appearances on The Partridge Family and Happy Days. In 1977, she got her first big break when she replaced Farrah Fawcett on Charlie's Angels. She has released three albums and appeared on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun. She has appeared in over 30 made-for-TV movies and had a recurring role in NBC's Las Vegas. Ladd published a children's book, The Adventures of Little Nettie Windship, and an autobiographical adult book, Token Chick: A Woman's Guide to Golfing with the Boys. Ladd is also ambassador for Childhelp, which campaigns for child abuse prevention. She was married to actor David Ladd, from whom he got her surname, and Bryan Russell from 1981 to the present. She has one daughter, Jordan.
